Maidaan: Bengali Actor Rudranil Ghosh Starts Shooting For Ajay Devgn’s Film, Shares Picture With Co-Star Gajraj Rao
Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh is elated to start shooting for Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan!
Well-known Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh, who has been a part of films like Bibaho Obhijaan, Uma and Love Express amongst others, has been roped in for Ajay Devgn’s next film, Maidaan. The film, which is based on the life of former football coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim, is being helmed by Badhaai Ho fame, Amit Sharma. Shooting for the same was kick-started a few days ago, now, Rudranil has joined the film’s set to shoot for his part.
A picture of him, along with the actor and co-star Gajraj Rao, is doing the rounds of social media. It features the two and has been taken on the sets of Maidaan. Reportedly, Rudranil was approached for a small role in Maidaan, however, after having a look at his audition tape, Amit Sharma changed his mind. Now, the actor will be seen n a pivotal role. In an interview, Rudranil opened up working with filmmaker Amit Sharma. He said, “I was quite nervous in the beginning, but Amit Sharma is a director who loves to give space to his actors and instilled confidence in me, saying I will do well. While giving tips on speaking Hindi, he also instructed me to think in Hindi for the time being.”
Upon being asked about getting an opportunity to work alongside Ajay Devgn, Rudranil said, “He speaks very little and smiles at times. He mostly kept busy with the script when he is not giving a shot. He’s also very calm and a very cooperative and helpful co-actor.”
